When NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt listed his best running backs of all time, for Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson ranked quite high on the countdown.

Discussing the best running backs in NFL can be a difficult subject. It’s easy to argue for players like Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, or Walter Payton at the top of the list, but where would former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian land on that list?

NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt recently compiled his list of the 27 best players ever to play the running back position and to nobody’s surprise Adrian Peterson was one of the amazing rushers included.

Landing at number 13 on the list, Peterson was a first round pick of the Vikings in 2007. Peterson is Minnesota’s all time leading rusher and holds numerous other records and accomplishments over his 10 seasons with the franchise, including being the league’s rushing leader 3 seasons and scoring the most rushing touchdowns in 2 seasons.
