Troy Williamson has a weak right eye. And he’s caught 13,000 balls in the last three months. And he calls his eye doctor Uncle Al. Learn more amazing facts about famed first-round bust Williamson in Mark Craig’s piece for the Star-Tribune.

The Pioneer-Press’s Tom Powers writes an amusing piece about Vikings second-string QB Brooks Bollinger. According to Powers, the Vikings’ quarterbacks are a tight-knit group. They don’t go on camping trips or anything, but you know, they’re good buds.

NFL.com‘s Adam Schefter reports that ex-Viking receiver Travis Taylor has been signed by the Oakland Raiders. This marks the second time in Taylor’s career that he’s been essentially brought in to replace Randy Moss. Personally, I think he did a terrible job of that with the Vikings. He never squirted a single ref, walked off the field before a game was over, or tried to murder even one meter maid with his car.

Adam Schein of Fox Sports Net loves Visanthe Shiancoe. He thinks Visanthe can catch 50 balls this year as a Viking. Um, I don’t think Adam watched the Vikings last year. Most of the time you wouldn’t even have known there was a tight end on the field. Brad Johnson ran into Jermaine Wiggins in the tunnel after a game one day, thought he was some nut who snuck in and called security.

Early returns are in on the Vikings’ receiving corps, and the news thus far is not encouraging. Basically, it looks like these guys can’t catch. Judd Zulgad of the Star-Tribune reports today that Billy McMullen, Maurice Mann, Cortez Hankton and Randy Hymes all had trouble hauling in balls during day two of OTA’s. The good news is that, as far as we know, their right eyes are all okay.
