Vikings Release Depth Chart

The Vikings have released their official unofficial (or is that unofficial official?) depth chart ahead of Friday’s pre-season tilt with the Rams.  Nothing really surprising here – Ryan Cook is listed ahead of Marcus Johnson at RT and Jim Kleinsasser is the top TE, but neither of those is earth-shattering.  Despite rumors to the contrary, Anthony Herrera has not moved ahead of Artis Hicks at RG, nor would it have been fair for that to happen given Hicks being moved to LT to replace Bryant McKinnie earlier in camp, and Herrera slotting into Hicks’s position hence getting more time there.  Here’s the full depth-chart via Access Vikings:

By the way, KFAN.com includes in their Training Camp Guide a very handy “Bottom Line” section which lists the entire roster, and speculates as to who is in line to make the final 53 and who falls below the cut-line.   Right now, according to the experts over there, back-up center Norm Katnik would be the last man to make the team, and such semi-notables as Billy McMullen, Ronyell Whitaker and Ciatrick Fason would be cut.  This is of course a fluid situation.

One last bit of business…the team made a roster move today, waiving injured OL Dan Mozes (nice knowing you Moz), and adding WR Paris Hamilton to the squad.  Hamilton was around in mini-camp then got cut, but with the preponderance of injures in the receiver corps, has been reacquired.
