Jerome Felton Was Arrested For DWI While in McDonald’s Drive-Thru

As if it wasn’t bad enough that Jerome Felton was arrested for DWI before he ever played a snap for the Vikings, now comes news of where Felton was arrested.

According to Judd Zulgad of 1500ESPN, Felton was arrested in the drive-thru lane of a McDonald’s in Eden Prairie, Minn.

Seems more like an episode of World’s Dumbest Criminals than news on an NFL player.

Employees of the McDonald’s called the police to report an intoxicated driver around 3 a.m. June 2.

No word yet on whether or not Felton tried to order a 500-piece Chicken McNugget combo (Given my vast ‘Nugget knowledge, I would guess that order would also come with 50 sauces and a complementary day-old small fry).

Quite frankly, it can’t get much worse for a professional athlete. Felton signed the Rick Spielman Special this offseason, a one-year, $700,000 prove-it contract.

Well, he certainly proved it.

It has only been 11 weeks since Felton signed his contract. He barely even saw the practice field, let alone the Dome turf.

Oh yeah, and he was driving drunk. And at McDonalds.

Keep in mind the Vikings and the NFLPA both provide 24-hour road service for players who have had too much to drink.

But maybe that doesn’t apply to Big Mac runs.

There aren’t many ways to make a DWI worse, but getting cuffed under the dim light of the Golden Arches at 3 a.m. somehow does just that.
