For the second straight week Christian Ponder has had his practice participation curtailed as a result of a small injury. Last week he had a little neck thing and this week it’s a knee. I wouldn’t be too alarmed though. The Vikes are obviously just being careful with Ponder. I’m sure he will be good to go come Sunday as the Vikings try to make it three in a row. Ponder’s a tough kid and a little knee soreness isn’t going to keep him off the field.

Ponder wasn’t the only guy seeing limited action in practice on Wednesday. In fact four guys were held out entirely. Jared Allen sat with a groin – we saw him stretching it out late in the Detroit game – Michael Jenkins sat with his sore ribs left from Sunday, and safeties Andrew Sendejo and Mistral Raymond both were non-participants as well. How long can this go on with Sendejo before the Vikes dump him and pick up a healthy safety? I’m sure they don’t want to keep rolling with three like last week.

Other guys limited on Wednesday included Charlie Johnson (lower back), Marcus Sherels (back) and Antoine Winfield (knee). A little banged up after four games but not bad. The Vikes have been lucky on the injury front so far.
