Preview
The Vikings head on the road after suffering a brutal home defeat at the hands of the Buccaneers. Both the offense and defense experienced major issues against Tampa Bay. QB Christian Ponder played poorly again. The offensive line struggled in pass protection. The defense had problems against the run. The Vikings need to shore up these areas if they hope to compete against a Seattle team with playoff aspirations.
The Seahawks feature a bruising defense and a punishing running game. Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson lead the offense. The Vikings will have to be sound in their tackling technique to keep Lynch from running roughshod over them. They must get after Wilson to contain his playmaking ability. Offensively, look for the Vikings to give Seattle a heavy dose of Adrian Peterson. Can they protect Christian Ponder well enough to generate a downfield passing game? Can Ponder deliver the ball even if given a clean pocket?
