The punting competition has not officially begun between Jeff Locke and Chris Kluwe. That’s good news for Kluwe because I don’t think he’s mentally ready yet. Just the impression I get from the stuff he tweeted on Friday. If you missed it, Kluwe apparently had some problem procuring hotel accommodations. He posted:
He blamed it all on his wife? That’s gonna come back and bite him. So how did Kluwe deal with his unexpected downtime in the hotel lobby? Drinking was apparently involved.
Meanwhile, back at Vikings rookie camp…Kluwe’s mortal enemy Jeff Locke took a trip to the Metrodome with Mike Priefer. Locke got to practice kicking inside the Dome. How did he feel about the experience?
"It went really well. It was cool to see [Metrodome] for the first time, and I thought I punted really well today."
Hear that Kluwe? He punted really well. And also worked on holding. While you were off griping and drinking and tweeting bad stuff about your wife.
Kluwe isn’t getting complacent is he? Focus Kluwe. Focus.
Oh forget it. We know this competition isn’t legit anyway. Does Seattle need a punter?
