Adrian Peterson Spotted In Sioux Falls, South Dakota On His Day Off

Adrian Peterson missed practice Thursday but it wasn’t for an injury or anything serious like that. The official report said Peterson was away for “personal reasons.” Well that’s no big deal, it happens. Sometimes guys have family stuff to deal with or whatever so they need a day off from practice.

Uh but wait a second, what’s this in the Sioux Falls (SD) Argus Leader? Adrian Peterson was spotted at a restaurant in Sioux Falls on his day off? I’m not making this up. Jane Bammert, the proprietress of Little Coalinga Bar and Grill, told the Argus Leader that Adrian was in her establishment on Thursday and she has pictures to back it up. Bammert says Adrian ordered one-and-a-half hot turkey sandwiches and was “super nice.”

This almost sounds like a hoax, but like I said, this Bammert woman says she took pictures with Peterson and the newspaper there in Sioux Falls believed the story enough to run with it. So the obvious question is, what personal reason could Adrian have for being in Sioux Falls on his day off? Did he just stop over on his way somewhere else? Where else may he have been going? Did he just ask for a day off and decide to take a drive?

I’m sure there’s a good explanation for all of this, it just seems so weird and random. I’m assuming Adrian will be back at practice tomorrow unless he has more pressing business? Perhaps somewhere in Idaho?
