The Green Bay Packers play a familiar opponent this week, the Minnesota Vikings for the last time in the Metrodome which is scheduled to close at the culmination of the season. The Vikings will play at the University of Minnesota TCF Bank Stadium for the 2014 and 2015 NFL seasons with the possibility of staying until the 2017 season if necessary. With the move to the University of Minnesota coming soon there will be an increase in ticket prices to make up for TCF Bank Stadium’s smaller capacity than the Metrodome by nearly 14,000 seats.

This game will feature the first time that ex-Green Bay Packer Greg Jennings plays his former team and should be interesting to see how he play. In the offseason Jennings made comments about how Green Bay brainwashed players in order to make them believe that the Packers are the best at everything.

Jennings even went a step further than that by questioning perennial Pro Bowler Aaron Rodgers leadership stating that he would not be accountable for his actions and miscues. Since then the Vikings Wide Receiver has backtracked on those comments stating that he was just joking around which, maybe has something to do with Minnesota’s terrible start this season.

In the past week tickets for this rivalry game between the the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings have fallen by 31%.  The recent drop in ticket prices can be associated to the Minnesota Vikings recent performance on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants in one of the ugliest games that has been played in recent memory. Tickets are currently averaging just about 50% lower than the three year average for this game with an average ticket price of $138 and a get in price of $38. However, despite the lower than normal price for this game, tickets are still 15% above the average price for Vikings tickets at home this season.
