Adrian Peterson is beginning to branch out as a media maven. His first move? Becoming a comedy impresario.

It seems slightly off-the-wall, but it’s true. Adrian Peterson is the new Russell Simmons. And like Russell Simmons, he has snagged Chris Tucker to lead his stable of comedians.

Because what else does Chris Tucker have to do these days but lead Adrian Peterson’s stable of comedians? Is Rush Hour 4 coming soon?

Adrian Peterson’s All-Pros of Comedy, featuring Chris Tucker & Friends, is coming to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center January 31, and you can get tickets. I know because Adrian tweeted the poster art.

Hold on a second, is that Kobe Bryant?

This whole thing is a tiny bit weird. You don’t really think “comedy” when you think Adrian Peterson. You think guys getting run over. The funniest thing he’s ever done was “orange peanut” and that wasn’t really him.

Well I guess there was that time he destroyed the Packers the last game of the season and caused them to the lose the #2 seed in the NFC. That was pretty funny.

All right, I’ll keep an open mind. Despite Chris Tucker’s involvement, I’ll try to support Adrian in his new endeavor. We all need to branch out sometimes. Spread our wings and learn to fly.

With Chris Tucker.
