Packers are well known for migrating west to Minnesota, but this time a former Viking might be flipping the script by relocating to the east in Green Bay.
Or, maybe he was just invited to Green Bay for a visit as a leverage move against B.J. Raji.
Whatever the case, there’s a report out there that former Vikings DT Letroy Guion has drawn interest from the Packers. Guion will visit Green Bay Sunday if he doesn’t sign before then.
Or if the Packers cancel the visit because they’ve already re-signed Raji.
Guion also has interest from the Patriots and Ravens.
The 26-year-old Guion made low-level starter money in Minnesota for a couple of years before being cut this offseason for cap reasons.
Why Guion was given low-level starter money, and starting-level snaps, when he clearly never made sense as a starting nose tackle is something you will have to ask Leslie Frazier.
If Guion does sign somewhere, it will be for backup money, to perform as a backup.
A return to Minnesota likely is not in the cards as the Vikings have already locked up Linval Joseph and Fred Evans, and are still looking at Henry Melton and maybe Kevin Williams.
