Is Adam Thielen the real deal or just another camp sensation who has received an undeserved amount of attention from a storyline-hungry media? It’s hard to say. We all remember the Jaymar Johnson/Stephen Burton situations. Fringe players sometimes get elevated through a combination of media attention and fan enthusiasm to a status they don’t deserve. But, Thielen looks like the real thing. He seems to be developing nice early chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater, which doesn’t hurt. Thielen seems to have secured himself a spot on the 53-man roster, and who knows, he could end up bumping Jerome Simpson as the #3 receiver before it’s over.
