Minnesota Vikings rookie linebacker Anthony Barr has been nominated for Pepsi Rookie of the Week for week 8 of the NFL season.  Surprisingly, Barr is the only defensive player that is up for the award this week.  His competition is comprised of 4 wide receivers who also had stellar games during week 8.

Here are the nominees for week 8’s Pepsi Rookie of the Week:

We at The Viking Age would like to wish Anthony Barr the best of luck in his chances of being named Pepsi Rookie of the week for week 8.  If not for his game changing forced fumble, fumble recovery, and defensive touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there’s no way of knowing what would have happened in Minnesota’s overtime game on Sunday.
