Vikings DE Brian Robison Is The ‘Butt’ Of Injury Jokes

When the injury reports came out for the Minnesota Vikings, all that defensive end Brian Robison could do was shake his head.  On the official report, his injury is listed as a “glute” injury, but we all know what that means.

That’s right.  It’s like we’re all back in grade school again.  We’re telling jokes about folks’ posteriors.  Luckily, the butt of the joke in this case is a person that is able to handle a little humor about his butt.

Here’s what Brian Robison told ESPN about the injury:

"“What’s funny about it is everyone wants to see it again. It’s kind of awkward,” Robison said. “It’s almost every morning I come in here, I have to walk around with my pants down because everyone wants to see it every morning to see if it changes.”"

The injury occurred in the game between the Vikings and the Buccaneers on Sunday.  an offensive player’s knee ended up hitting him in the buttocks.  Since then, the site of the hit has formed a bruise.  And that bruise seems to be getting bigger every day.

"“It’s slowly spreading,” Robison said. “It’s going to be fun to watch this thing grow.”"

It’s good that Brian Robison and the rest of the Vikings team can find the humor in something like that.  It’s a sign that the locker room is fairly strong when guys can mess around like that.  Especially when it’s something as sensitive as a “glute”.
