Week 11 NFC North Recap: Vikings Back In The Cellar

4 of 5

Chicago Bears  4-6

The Chicago Bears entered the game against the Minnesota Vikings struggling on defense and coming off two blowout losses to the Patriots and Packers.  However by watching the Bears 21-13 win over Minnesota, you wouldn’t think there were any problems at all.

Chicago had their way with the undersized Vikings secondary.  Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery combined for 18 catches on 27 targets for 225 yards and three touchdowns, picking on the smaller Josh Robinson for many of those plays.  Cutler connected on a little over 72% of his throws, accumulating 330 yards and three touchdowns while adding two interceptions on questionable decisions.Running back Matt Forte had very solid outing as well, picking up 117 yards on 26 carries and adding 6 catches for 58 yards.

The Bears defense got constant pressure on rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, making him get rid of the ball much sooner than he would like in many situations.  This resulted in fewer looks down the field and allowed the Bears to tighten up their defense.

Former Vikings defensive end Jared Allen finally got his first win ever at Soldier Field, and it comes at the hands of his former team.

The Bears will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.
