2015 Base Salary:  $4.9 million

2015 Salary Cap Hit:  $6.55 million

Guaranteed:  $5.2 million

After signing a massive 5 year, $36.5 million extension during the offseason, Kyle Rudolph couldn’t stay healthy enough during the season to make good on the deal.

Rudolph was only active for 9 games during the 2014 season and caught just 24 passes for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns.  In 2015, he will need to have a much bigger impact on the game in order to seem worth the large deal he signed.

Typically, it isn’t a good practice to ask for a player to take a pay cut after one disappointing year.  Look for the Vikings to give the tight end one more season to prove that he can stay healthy enough to be an impact player with the team before they consider attempting to rework his deal.
