Bridgewater’s only three-interception game last season came in his second career start. His third interception of the game vs. the Lions is another one that really isn’t in his control.

Here, Bridgewater is looking for a quick slant to Cordarrelle Patterson, which was his hot read. The ball is knocked down by the Lions pass-rusher who is being blocked by Charlie Johnson. Johnson’s height was an issue in this situation as the defender was able to see right over him and telegraph where Bridgewater wanted to deliver the football. Overall, Bridgewater didn’t really do anything wrong here. There are times when a great defensive play happens and the offense couldn’t do much about it, and this is an example.
