The Oakland Raiders traveled to TCF Bank Stadium last night to take on the Minnesota Vikings in a game that some say was boring as heck.  Much of that sentiment is because the weather in Minnesota didn’t quite cooperate with the NFL.  A 66 minute weather delay made this game tough for the casual fan to watch, but us hardcore folks were still at it.

Of course, we all wanted to see the game that was being hyped as Teddy Bridgewater vs Derek Carr.  The two second-year quarterbacks are often compared by many media outlets.  That’s because they both seem to have the potential to be franchise quarterbacks for their respective clubs.  While I’m usually a voice of reason that says both guys will be really good for their teams, most people like to weigh the two quarterbacks against each other.

A player who isn’t going to get measured this preseason is Adrian Peterson, who once again sat out this game and watched on the sidelines.  In typical Peterson fashion, he likely won’t see a single snap during the preseason, but there is little doubt that he will be ready to go when the regular season hits.

Despite a lack of beautiful weather, real drama, and Adrian Peterson, I was really looking forward to watching this game and seeing many of the young, athletic players compete for jobs with the team.  That said, let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and the confusing things from last night’s Minnesota Vikings vs Oakland Raiders game.
