The Confusing

  1. Why did the Titans play their first team so long?  I understand surrounding Mariota with the first team, but once the rookie left the game, the rest of the first team should have gone, too. Instead, the Vikings were left with their second team playing against Tennessee’s first team for much of the first half.
  2. Is Dorial Green-Beckham a giant?  Looking at the Titans wide receiver, it’s crazy to see a 6’6″ man lined up across from someone six inches shorter than him.  I mean, just throw jump balls all the time, right?  It worked for Joseph Fauria and the Lions for a while…
  3. Everson Griffen calling Harrison Smith “white chocolate”.  I know that many of the female Minnesota Vikings fans would agree with giving the former first round draft pick in 2012 that nickname, but it’s kind of odd to think about as a grown man.  I won’t be joining him in using that term for him.
  4. The camera pans the crowd.  What do we see then the camera makes its rounds?  It’s people on their cell phones and they’re not paying any attention to what is going on.  These folks could be staring at their phones at home, but then I guess they wouldn’t be showing their Titans pride that way.
  5. Taylor Heinicke always seems to take a beating.  I mean, between last week’s crushing blow that caused a fumble and tonight’s hit that upended him, you get the impression that people don’t like the young quarterback very much.  I’m just surprised that nobody took his milk money after hitting him.
  6. BONUS!  That big fella catching the botched extra point attempt was awesome.  Sadly for the Titans, the play didn’t count because Blackson wasn’t legal downfield, but any time a big man can lean back and catch a ball like that it is worth adding a bonus WTF (but awesome) moment.
