The Minnesota Vikings had their home opener today against the Detroit Lions in a game that would hopefully help them forget the events of last week.

Erasing that ugly Monday Night Football game wouldn’t be easy against Detroit.  The Lions seemed to be the kryptonite for young Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.  Last year, he recorded his two worst games of the year statistically against the “Motor City Kitties”.  However, would the loss of Ndamukong Suh change things up for this Vikings offense?

Perhaps the bigger question involves Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.  He struggled with only 31 rushing yards on 10 carries against the 49ers in week 1, but will he see a much bigger role?  Will they continue to run him out of the shotgun?  And can he provide a solid run threat to open things up for Teddy Bridgewater?

Those questions and more were answered during today’s game.  There were good things, bad things, and some things that just made me scratch my head a bit.  Let’s talk about all that, but start with the good stuff!
