The Bad

  1. Going away from pounding the interior of the Bears line.  Adrian Peterson was finding early success running it right up the gut for the Vikings.  I’m not sure why Norv Turner decided to go away from that, but in the future teams should do what works until it doesn’t work anymore.
  2. Second half opening drive defense.  The Minnesota Vikings got absolutely bullied in the trenches.  Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford were having a party in the massive holes that were being created by Chicago’s makeshift offensive line.  It was disgusting to see them getting pushed backwards.
  3. Teddy Bridgewater‘s performance.  If last week could have been one of his best games as a pro, this week just might be his worst.  Between poor decisions, overthrows, inaccuracies, Teddy needs to be more consistent and accurate, which are two things he was known for as a college quarterback.
  4. Struggling to get to Jay Cutler.  It’s hard to believe that the Minnesota Vikings can’t get to Jay Cutler with this patchwork Chicago offensive line.  You’d think there would be a lot of hurries or pressures even if there weren’t sacks, but that just wasn’t the case.
  5. Adjusting to cover Alshon Jeffery.  At home on our couches, we knew that Jeffery would be getting the ball in big situations.  The team should have cued in on him and made the necessary adjustments.  Instead, the Bears were able to take advantage of mismatches and pick up easy first downs.
