The Confusing

  1. The Bears gaining yards on a muffed punt.  You’d think the Bears would get the ball were they last touched it.  However, thanks to a baffling NFL rule book, Chicago got to pick up some special teams yardage through poor special teams play.  Not a fan of that play.
  2. Who the heck painted those Soldier Field lines?  For how crooked those lines were painted, you’d think they’d have a better excuse than wet turf or strange tarpaulin situations.  I wonder if the NFL will hand down a fine for not having the field look professional.  Nevermind, the field in Chicago has been crap for years.
  3. Why is Teddy Bridgewater so inconsistent this year?  I’m a big fan of Teddy Bridgewater.  I love so many things about his game.  But I never expected him to run so hot and cold and the NFL level.  He needs to figure something out to be a more reliable and consistent passer.
  4. Too many Holiday shopping commercials.  I know it’s past Halloween now, but it’s still WAY too early to be thinking Christmas.  And based on the Vikings performance this game, I don’t think NFL Shop is going to be getting many customers ordering Minnesota merchandise this week.
  5. Why doesn’t the NFL do something about that horrible field?  So many players tend to get hurt at Soldier Field and players are constantly falling down on the loose surface.  You’d think the NFL would want Chicago to upgrade that so that it was safer and didn’t break up potentially exciting plays…but instead they’re worried about people writing messages in their eye black.
