4. Linval Joseph

Vikings DT Linval Joseph is not going to be touted by the media or most fans as a Pro Bowler but that’s only because people don’t pay close enough attention.

Ask the guys trying to block Linval Joseph if he’s a Pro Bowler this year and I think they’ll give you an emphatic yes.

Joseph is pretty much destroying everything in front of him right now. Through seven games, Joseph has arguably been the Vikings’ best defensive player.

Joseph has been so good that he’s even making his head coach a little emotional (via Minneapolis StarTribune):

"“I don’t want to get too gushy here,” Zimmer said, “but I’ve had a couple of really good nose tackles in my career. This guy may be the best.”"

Watching Joseph erupt in his second year as a Viking has been very satisfying not just for Zimmer but for the fans.
