Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater may not be lighting up fantasy football scoreboards this season, but he’s led the team to a 5-2 record, including three straight wins and three division victories.  While he’s had a bit of an up-and-down season, the young quarterback has been getting praised by the media for some of the littler things he does.

But the media aren’t the only ones that have noticed Bridgewater’s work this season.

The defensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams has been watching Teddy Bridgewater and has some concerns about him against the Rams defense.  Here is what he had to say according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in a recent article:

"“Very patient and poised. The things is, the game unfolds — as the game moves along — he gets better. It shows you a guy that’s very confident in his abilities.” Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams said. “You can tell he’s a sharp kid in how he recognizes defensive things, and how he is able to make changes at the line of scrimmage. A lot of young quarterbacks can’t do that, especially (against) somebody that’s as multiple as we are.”"

The St. Louis head coach spoke of the young passer’s accuracy and willingness to take the short pass when the deep or moderate throws aren’t available.

"“He takes check-downs,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. “He knows where to go when it’s time to (throw) outside. He goes outside and he goes there quickly. He effortlessly throws very accurately. That’s the thing that’s impressive. You watch him on tape, the ball’s right where it should be.”"

Williams wasn’t the only one for the Rams who was speaking highly of the Minnesota Vikings quarterback.  Free safety Rodney McLeod had some big praise for the young man who he’ll be facing on Sunday.

"“You see an accurate quarterback,” McLeod said. “Very efficient on third downs. Controlling the offense very well. He’s doing a good job back there, being a leader.”"
