Minnesota Vikings to host Punt, Pass and Kick championship
By Adam Carlson
The Minnesota Vikings will host the Punt Pass and Kick championship for children ages 6 to 15 at the Eden Prairie Winter Park facility on December 5, 2015.
Sunday will be a big game for the future of the Minnesota Vikings, as they are taking on NFC powerhouse Seattle. However, the future of the game of football could be on display the previous day at the Minnesota Vikings facility in Winter Park, Minnesota before the game when kids will compete in the NFL’s Punt, Pass and Kick competition.
Children ranging in age from 6 to 15 will compete in the three categories, with the winner of the region moving on to play the best performers from other areas in the national championship. Children from the South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota and Iowa area are competing in the event, which previously had legendary young participants like Pro Football Hall of Fame members Dan Marino and Troy Aikman.
Eight kids are scheduled to participate in each of the five age groups. You can look at the full list of competitors on the Vikings.com website.
