Teddy Bridgewater praised by Russell Wilson and Warren Moon

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater received a lot of praise in the past, but most recently Russell Wilson and Warren Moon showed him some love.

The Seattle Seahawks are going to TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday, December 6, 2015 to face off against the Minnesota Vikings. Typically, there are many interviews through the media that has players saying nice things about their opponents where much of it doesn’t seem sincere anymore. However, when Russell Wilson says good things about Teddy Bridgewater, I’m likely to believe him.

It wasn’t that long ago that Wilson was getting the same kind of criticism that Teddy Bridgewater is getting. People said that the Seattle Seahawks quarterback is a game manager and nothing more. He’s criticized for not getting big passing numbers and not having a big personality.

Sound familiar?

Recently, Wilson has talked about Bridgewater and had some great things to say about him according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press on Twitter:

But Wilson wasn’t the only one who likes seeing the intelligent play of Teddy Bridgewater. Former Vikings quarterback and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Warren Moon got in on showing the young man some love.

Right now, Teddy Bridgewater isn’t a Pro Bowl quarterback. With only 8 touchdowns to go with 7 interceptions and 2280 passing yards through 11 games played, he’s looking more like that “game manager” quarterback that people have been using to describe him than a Pro Bowl type player.

However, there is always the ability to grow and develop. Bridgewater’s skill set right now is being used to complement Adrian Peterson’s run game, but there will come a time when the team won’t be able to lean on the ground game and Teddy Bridgewater will have to prove that he can get things done in the passing game on a regular basis.

That is when we’ll truly see if Bridgewater can be the player that everyone hopes he can become.
