20. Joe Kapp throws NFL record 7 TDs

Sept. 28, 1969. The Minnesota Vikings blew the doors off the Baltimore Colts, exploding for 622 yards of total offense and 52 points.

Quarterback Joe Kapp led the way with a ridiculous 449 yards passing and an NFL-record seven TDs. Gene Washington caught six balls for 172 yards and two TDs.

To this day Kapp still holds the record for most TDs in a game, tied with multiple players including Peyton Manning, Sid Luckman, Drew Brees and…Nick Foles.

When Manning tied the record a few years ago he was nice enough to give Kapp a shout-out and Kapp was very appreciative (via USA Today):

"“I’ve been kind of dead for quite a while, been in the classified section of the newspaper lately. All my pals — both of them — called,” Kapp joked to USA TODAY Sports from his California home Friday. “Peyton’s an honorable man and it’s very much an honor to be mentioned by a quarterback right there with the best ever.”"
