15. Vikings get first playoff win at Metrodome

Jan. 9, 1983. The Minnesota Vikings played their first-ever Metrodome playoff game and got the win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The Vikings made the playoffs in the strike-shortened 1982 season and kicked off the post-season with a home game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Minnesota would fall behind 24-23 in the fourth quarter but would answer with a Ted Brown touchdown run to take the lead 30-24.

The Vikings would hold on for their first-ever Metrodome playoff win. The following week they would fall to eventual Super Bowl champions Washington.

16 years later the Vikings and Falcons would face each other in a Metrodome playoff game once again…but the less said about that game, the better.
