The Bad
- Holding the ball too long. I love that Teddy Bridgewater can be elusive and buy time, but he can’t be doing it all the time. We’ve seen it in the past when it resulted in sacks, or even worse, fumbles. Everyone knows the offensive line isn’t great in protection, so why rely on them so heavily?
- Prevent defense to end the half. I hate the idea of giving up a ton of yards just because there isn’t much time on the clock. Shouldn’t that be a better reason for not wanting to let those big plays happen? Don’t let them get to field goal or hail mary range and let them have a chance at points.
- Falling for a fake onside kick. It’s all about discipline. Just because you assume a kick will be deep doesn’t mean you can abandon the area within 10 yards of the kickoff. It was a sloppy opening to the second half that could have been costly for the Minnesota Vikings.
Honestly, I’m only going to do three bad things. Overall, this was a really well-played game with very few mistakes on both sides of the ball. Because of that, I don’t think I’ll nitpick too much on small things like some bad angles or missed tackles. The team should be very happy with this game.
