16. Matt Blair

Iowa St. product Matt Blair was taken by the Vikings with the 51st overall pick in the 1974 draft.

Matt played a part-time role his first two years but became a full-time starting linebacker in 1976 and was a mainstay of the Vikings’ defense until his retirement in 1985.

Blair made the Pro Bowl six times and was named All-Pro once, in 1980.

Matt finished his career with 16 interceptions and 20 fumble recoveries.
