6. Week 14 vs. Cardinals – seven yards to Mike Wallace
Trailing the Cardinals 20-13 with five minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Vikings have a third-and-goal situation from the Arizona seven.
The Vikes run one of their favorite red zone plays, clearing out for Mike Wallace who runs a crossing route from right to left.
Arizona blitzes but the Vikings do a good job picking it up. Even Adrian Peterson manages to get in front of an Arizona defender on this one.
Wallace comes open and Bridgewater finds him for the relatively easy touchdown. Of course it only looks easy because the offensive line executed so well.
Game situation elevates this one. The Vikings fought a tough battle against the Cardinals in Arizona and had a chance to win after this tying score.
Unfortunately it didn’t work out for Minnesota who lost when Teddy Bridgewater was forced to fumble by Dwight Freeney on the Vikings’ final offensive play.
