3. Week 8 vs. Bears – 40 yards to Stefon Diggs
The Vikings’ come-from-behind victory against the Bears week 8 featured a couple of huge late plays by wide receivers.
Stefon Diggs gets most of the credit for the 40-yard TD pass that tied the game with two minutes left to play.
The Vikings line up on third-and-four from the Bears 40. Bridgewater has time to bounce around in the pocket and wait for Diggs to get some separation against the cornerback.
With a couple of pass rushers bearing down on him, Bridgewater delivers a very solid pass to Diggs who evades the first would-be Bears tackler, bursts down the field and dances through two more poor tackles to score the tying TD.
Amazing how much bad tackling there was on all the Vikings’ TDs against the Bears.
The Vikings would of course go on to win the game with a huge contribution from Charles Johnson. And that was about the last we would hear from Johnson.
