The Pro Bowl has been an up-and-down experience so far for Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater.

Lots of folks say Teddy Bridgewater doesn’t deserve to be in the Pro Bowl, but he’s there and in the first half he got into the game for Team Irvin.

Bridgewater’s night began rather inauspiciously when on his first pass of the game he was picked off by Marcus Peters.

Teddy decided to cut loose a deep ball to Julio Jones on the play but it was nowhere near the intended target and Peters saw it drop into his hands for the easiest pick the young man will probably ever have.

Luckily, Bridgewater was able to redeem himself on the next Team Irvin possession.

Bridgewater threw a 44-yard pass to A.J. Green to set up Team Irvin in Team Rice territory. Then Teddy got Team Irvin into the end zone on a two-yard strike to Darren Sproles.

Team Irvin went into halftime with a 28-14 lead after Bridgewater’s touchdown to Sproles.

Next: Calvin Johnson retiring from NFL

As for the other Vikings in the game, at halftime Adrian Peterson had four carries for just four yards, but did have two catches for 14 yards. Everson Griffen had one tackle for Team Rice, while Anthony Barr and Harrison Smith had two tackles each for Team Irvin.

“Tackle” of course being a relative term. I mean this is the Pro Bowl.
