A new 2016 NFL mock draft from NFL Mocks has the Minnesota Vikings selecting TCU wide receiver Josh Doctson.

Who will the Vikings select in this year’s draft? It’s anybody’s guess at this point.

If there was a law against guessing about the draft, we would all be arrested. Thank goodness that law hasn’t been passed!

NFL Mocks put together a mock draft with help from a bunch of us FanSided experts and here’s what we came up with.

My pick for the Vikings at #23 was WR Josh Doctson. Again, just guessing. Don’t hate me too much.

"The Vikings will likely cut Mike Wallace and his $11.5 million cap number, leaving them with a big need at wide receiver. This year there are several good receivers who could be available at no. 23 overall, including Michael Thomas and Braxton Miller of Ohio State, but TCU’s Josh Doctson to me is the most intriguing of them all.Doctson is tall and long and would give the Vikings a bigger wide-out with good hands and a huge catch radius who can help out Teddy Bridgewater, especially in the red zone.Bridgewater struggled in his intermediate-to-deep accuracy last year so getting a receiver who can make plays on balls that aren’t necessarily that well-thrown is vital. Doctson also has been praised for how he uses his hands to get separation. Doctson may not have breakaway speed but he is fast enough to be a deep threat.Teaming Doctson with Stefon Diggs and Jarius Wright would give the Vikings a solid receiver corps.Taking a chance on a project player like Braxton Miller would not make sense for the Vikings; they need a receiver who can come in immediately and help the team. Doctson is the kind of hard-working player Mike Zimmer loves and seemingly would mesh well with the culture in Minnesota."
