The Minnesota Vikings have plenty of options at the #23 overall pick in the draft, and here’s a round up of what mock drafters are predicting this week.

As we check out the various mock drafts popping up around the internet in the last few days, we note that wide receiver continues to be a popular position for the Vikings.

In his latest mock, NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah has the Vikings taking WR Josh Doctson. The TCU wide-out continues to be viewed as perhaps the Vikings’ number one target. Pete Prisco and and Rob Rang of CBSSports.com both also recently mocked Doctson to the Vikings.

Pat Kirwan of CBSSports and RealFootballNetwork has the Vikings taking a different wide-out.

A recent mock by FanSided had the Vikings also taking Corey Coleman.

Don Banks of SI.com has the Vikings missing out on Josh Doctson but drafting the speedy Will Fuller. Nate Davis of USA Today had the Vikings going with Laquon Treadwell, saying:

"A solid route runner with nice hands, he could be a better fit for this attack than departed Mike Wallace. Treadwell’s steadiness could help QB Teddy Bridgewater open up the offense, something the Vikings want."

Walter Football also has the Vikings going Treadwell, saying the Vikings need a possession receiver more than a speedster. NFL.com’s Charles Davis also likes Treadwell to the Vikings.

There seems to be more steam lately for Treadwell to the Vikings. If both Treadwell and Doctson are on the board when #23 comes up, there could be some suspense.

Is anyone out there willing to buck the trend of mocking wide receivers to the Vikings? Well, yes. Will Brinson of CBSSports.com changes things up by having the Vikings take OT Taylor Decker of Ohio State. Decker was discussed here on TVA recently.

Next: De'Vondre Campbell a Zimmer Guy?

And then there’s NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks who in his mock from about a week ago had the Vikings leaving Josh Doctson on the board and going with Georgia linebacker Leonard Floyd.

Since we haven’t really discussed Floyd, let’s note for a moment his scouting information. Listed at 6-6, 244, Floyd is long and athletic (two things Mike Zimmer likes) but very thin. He is viewed as having good pass rushing skills but possibly not the all-around game necessary to be an every-down linebacker.
