Laquon Treadwell may not have played his first NFL game yet, but the Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver is already sharing his football success story.

Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Laquon Treadwell hasn’t officially been a member of the National Football League for even a week yet, but he’s already taking on roles with youth and helping future athletes find their potential.

According to an article on the KFOR NBC website, Treadwell was one of the mentors on hand at Terrance Jackson’s Armor and Glory camp. The purpose of this camp is to instill good life skills into the young participants as well as help them work on the fundamentals of football.

"“I never thought I’d be here,” Treadwell said.  “I was just like them.  Going to camps.  Hearing public speakers.  I was always a guy who took it in and took it for what it was and tried to input it into my life.  I want to see everyone pursue their dreams and achieve their dream.  If there’s something I can tell them whether it’s any situation that they’re in, or I’ve been in it that will help them get through it that’s what I’m all about.”"

When Laquon Treadwell says that it wasn’t that long ago that he was a student instead of a mentor, he isn’t kidding. The ink is barely dry on his rookie contract with the Minnesota Vikings, but the dynamic Ole Miss football star knows just what it is like to be in these kids’ shoes and need motivation to push forward to success.

"“That’s what this camp is here to do,” Jackson said.  “Build our young people up.  Let them understand that their purpose is greater than their athletic ability.”"

The Minnesota Vikings will look to add Laquon Treadwell to the mix at wide receiver in order to help bolster a disappointing passing game. Fans can see him on the field hopefully aiding young quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in making the team a multidimensional threat for the future of the franchise.
