Laquon Treadwell was the victim of an incredibly elaborate rookie hazing prank perpetrated by Vikings teammates including Kyle Rudolph and Teddy Bridgewater.

Vikings rookie Laquon Treadwell turned 21 years old the other day and some of his teammates decided to do something very special for him.

Taking the now-legal Treadwell out to a bar for a drink was a little too predictable (not to mention perilous), so Kyle Rudolph, Teddy Bridgewater and some other Vikes put their heads together and came up with a truly memorable and fairly safe gift: 60,000 packages of Welch’s Fruit Snacks packed into Treadwell’s Range Rover.

Sort of blurs the line between a present and a prank, doesn’t it?

And what did young Mr. Treadwell think when he opened up his vehicle and found 60,000 packages of fruit snacks? Inside he may have been seething with rage, but on the outside he was nothing but cool.

Happy birthday Laquon! Now you get to clean 60,000 packages of fruit snacks out your car! This is better than cake and ice cream?

Turns out Laquon is a pretty good sport. And it seems his Vikings teammates like him too. A prank like that can only come from a place of brotherly love.

Only dudes who are cool with each other are ever that hilariously cruel.

Next: Patterson finally getting it?

It’s great seeing these young Vikings bonding like this. Let’s hope they have this much fun on the football field too. And let’s hope the pranking remains this good-natured. It’s never good when pranks take on a genuinely nasty edge.
