The construction finished six weeks earlier than expected, which greatly pleased both Mortenson Construction and the Minnesota Vikings. With the building ready for business, it’s time for the team to start moving in.

Here is the YouTube video of the keys being handed over from the Minnesota Vikings – MEDIA VAULT account:

Minnesota Vikings chief operating officer Kevin Warren spoke very highly of the hard work that the construction team, as well as the community, the city of Minneapolis, the Vikings, and the Wilf family in particular put into making sure that there was a great home for professional football in Minnesota.

The video also gets the thoughts and opinions of a worker on U.S. Bank Stadium as well as MSFA’s Michele Kelm-Helgen who thanks everyone for everything they’ve done to help make this new stadium a reality.

Of course, U.S. Bank Stadium will act as the home for the Minnesota Vikings beginning with the 2016 NFL season. Prior to this, the team played two years at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium following the literal collapse of the Metrodome.

Fans should be very excited about the Minnesota Vikings new home, as it offers “a bold, iconic design unique to Minnesota, fan-friendly elements and unmatched technology that make it a special NFL venue” according to the YouTube video’s caption.
