Youth flag and tackle football in Parsons, Kansas will have full access to playing thanks to a generous donation from Minnesota Vikings QB Shaun Hill.
The Minnesota Vikings organization and its players have a long history of doing great things for children in their communities, but Shaun Hill wants to make sure the youth of Parsons, Kansas have every possible opportunity to get into the sport of football.

According to a Facebook post from the Parsons Recreation Commission, all fees for the upcoming season of first through sixth grade football in Parsons, Kansas (where the mascot is the Vikings) have been waived thanks to a generous donation from Hill.
Born and raised in Parsons, Kansas, Shaun Hill is making sure kids have access to football, no matter what their income requirements are. Hill’s donations are allowing for some fantastic things for these kids including the following things:
- NFL licensed shirts
- prizes
- giveaways
- games
- food
- And….a VIDEO GAME TRUCK!
Three different groups of kids from Parsons, Kansas are eligible to play, with the younger kids playing flag football and the older getting to tackle. Here are the groupings:
- 1st/2nd grade flag football
- 3rd/4th grade flag football
- 5th/6th grade tackle football
The future players of the NFL can come from anywhere. Now, young fans in Parsons will be able to have fun and show off their skills in hopes that they will continue to enjoy the sport.
Most of the time, a generous gift like this from Shaun Hill would go unnoticed. Thankfully, every once in a while the great things these players do gets picked up by the media and these individuals are recognized for their efforts.
