Adrian Peterson has gone on record as saying that he sees greatness when he looks into the eyes of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

There is no questioning the work ethic of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. There may be questions about his deep ball or tendency to hold on to the ball for too long in the pocket, but so far the young quarterback has given fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic about his future.

One person who has been very focal about enjoying having Bridgewater on his team is running back Adrian Peterson. The former NFL MVP and 2015 leader in rushing yards and co-leader in rushing touchdowns has been forced to play with some struggling quarterbacks over his years with the team, but seems to like having #5 behind center.

In a recent interview on the ESPN website, Peterson showed even more love for Bridgewater, showering praise on him for the hard work he’s put into becoming a better quarterback and team leader as well as his natural qualities.

"“When I look in his eyes, I see greatness,” Peterson said. “I see a young man who’s — even now, he’s matured more, and he wants to be great. He has that leadership, he has that leader inside him and it’s coming out even more. He just has a good spirit. He has a good soul, a good spirit. And when you combine that with talent, and the mindset that he has, greatness will come out.”"

Although Bridgewater was solid in 2015, Adrian Peterson thinks that 2016 could be better for the young man. With pieces added on offense and hard work, the star running back is hoping that they’ve done enough to put more points on the board.

"“Offensively, we have a lot of things we’ve got going on, a lot of weapons we brought in, a lot of new pieces we’ve added during the offseason,” Peterson said. “It’s got to be more than just guys staying healthy; continuing to put in a lot of the work that I’ve seen those guys put in, and finally just getting it done.”"

Bridgewater will always have critics as long as his passing yards and passing touchdown numbers are low. However, that doesn’t seem to be too big of an issue for the Minnesota Vikings or Adrian Peterson as long as the team continues to be contenders on a regular basis.
