5. Competition for Jeff Locke?

After consistently performing as one of the worst punters in the NFL over the past several years, this may be Locke’s last chance to impress the coaching staff. While the team has been praising Locke and expressing their support for him throughout the offseason, they are considering signing Taylor Symmanck as competition.

If Locke is going to keep his job this year and in the future, he will have to show some drastic improvement over his past few years. While the coaching staff still appears to be behind him for now, another bad training camp could spell the end for Locke.

Punter was one of the biggest weaknesses of the team last year, so the Vikings will want to get it sorted out sooner rather than later. If Locke is still going to be the answer he will need to prove it in camp.
