2. First look at Laquon Treadwell

Likely one of the highest profile storylines going into camp, everyone wants to see what the Vikings got in first-round pick Laquon Treadwell.

Once projected to be the first receiver off the board, Treadwell fell to the Vikings at 23 due to concerns about his speed.

One of the youngest receivers in the draft at only 21 years old, it will be interesting to watch how quickly Treadwell can adjust to NFL competition and develop rapport with the quarterbacks.

The receiver group was very disappointing last year, so it will be important for Treadwell to solidify himself as a starter early in the season and provide a talented complement for Stefon Diggs. That all starts in training camp.

One caveat here is that Treadwell’s skill set, based largely on strength and physicality, will not shine through much in the limited contact of training camp. Treadwell will need to win with technique rather than strength, and as such may struggle a little at first as he settles in.
