With Mike Zimmer stating that “We have learned how to win”, the Minnesota Vikings could prove to be an elite team by the second half of the 2016 season.

There is not enough praise that can be given to head coach Mike Zimmer of the Minnesota Vikings. He took a team that was in shambles and created a Minnesota Vikings team that the NFL and fans of the NFL have come to respect again.

Mike Zimmer has set the framework for success, but he cannot play the game for his players, it is up to the Minnesota Vikings to hold up to their end of the equation.

The NFL season is quirky, underdogs can prevail even when all things point to a loss. If the Super Bowl was played 100 times I’m willing to bet Carolina would have won 75 times, on that given Sunday it was Denver’s time to shine.

This season’s Minnesota Vikings team is already set with a solid young base ready to ignite the league, and with the current coaching staff in place the team is the closest to ready to win since the Denny Green era and Brett Favre’s first season in the purple and gold.
