U.S. Bank Stadium hosted its first major sporting event and some in attendance were not impressed by the amenities.

We’re still a few weeks away from the Vikings playing their first game at U.S. Bank Stadium, but fans have already gotten a chance to see what the place is all about during a live sporting event. And I’ve got to say, the stadium might have some problems.

Thursday night A.C. Milan and Chelsea F.C. played a soccer match at the new venue and 64,101 fans turned out, many of them just to check out the stadium I suspect.

During and after the event, fans took to forums like Reddit and Twitter to give their reviews. And all is not necessarily well.

For instance, if you’re looking for ketchup, you might have trouble finding ketchup. Redditor Renegadecoaster said:

"I’m at the soccer game and we’ve walked around the stadium quite a bit and only ever saw one condiment station. It’s something you don’t realize you miss until there’s a brat in your hand that you can’t eat because it doesn’t have mustard on it."

It’s always possible this guy just doesn’t have a great eye for condiment stations.

Now on to the bathrooms. Yes, the bathrooms at U.S. Bank are troughless. However, according to Redditor balrogath, the new bathroom set-up may not necessarily be an improvement over the Metrodome:

"At the soccer game. Mens bathroom lines are long. Overheard many people reminiscing over the troughs."

Balrogath says the urinals are spaced two feet apart. Though that may be great for avoiding splashing, it may not be optimal in terms of urinals-per-foot. So, prepare to stand in line if you need to pee.

Now to the food. The stadium plans on having lots of interesting eating options, so quality shouldn’t be a problem, but quantity may be if reports are any indication:

This isn’t the stadium itself, but transportation also evidently was an issue.

As for the seats. Fans had no complaints about sight-lines and such, but there does appear to be a problem with how well the seats are bolted down. It’s apparently pretty easy to remove and run off with them.

Lots of stuff to work out before the Vikings settle in. But hey, that’s why you have a soccer game first. It gives you a chance to find out what you need to improve.

Next: Vikings made offer to Foles (report)

Let’s not end this post on a negative note though. There were some good things about the stadium experience for fans Thursday night. Like the music. It appears the music was solid.

Just get those condiments worked out.
