Warm take: Adrian Peterson will NOT lead the league in rushing

There are plenty of reasons to think Adrian Peterson can get it done again. He’s got an healthier offensive line in front of him, the team brought in a new guru for his blockers, the offense has another year under the new system and Peterson is a genetic freak. However, it’s not going to happen.

It would be more hot to say that Adrian Peterson will win the league in rushing this coming year, but that just doesn’t seem likely. The 31 year old running back will face huge competition from younger players in better situations, including Todd Gurley, David Johnson, and the rookie Ezekiel Elliot.

Sure, Adrian will have a solid year, but 1,485 yards on the ground will not get it done this year.
