When Norv Turner came to Minnesota, one of the players who should have benefited the most was Kyle Rudolph. Norv has usually had very productive tight ends in his system, from Antonio Gates in San Diego to Jordan Cameron in Cleveland.

Unfortunately for fantasy football players, Rudolph hasn’t blossomed like some hoped he would.

In 2015 Kyle started every game of the season (for only the 2nd time in his career), yet he was only 14th in fantasy points. There were only two weeks last season where Rudolph scored double-digit points, with his highest scoring game being against the Packers, when he put up 106 yards and a touchdown (16.6 points).

There is certainly reason for optimism regarding Rudolph. If you prefer to wait to draft tight ends in your fantasy league, you can certainly do a lot worse than Kyle. However, if you’re looking for an elite tight end who can give you an advantage most weeks, you might want to look elsewhere.
