Blair Walsh will be forever known as the kicker who shanked a potential game winning field goal against the Seattle Seahawks. However, for fantasy football purposes, Walsh is one of the better kickers in the league. In his four-year career, Walsh has twice finished in the top three kickers for fantasy points. Moving indoors this season should only improve Walsh’s accuracy.

Last season, the Minnesota Vikings’ defense ranked 8th for fantasy points after finishing 14th in 2014 and 28th in 2013. Another year in Mike Zimmer’s system should lead to even further improvement from the Vikings’ DST. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Vikings become a top 5 fantasy defense in 2016.

*Disclaimer – Don’t look like a fantasy football rookie: only draft one kicker and defense, and don’t even look at them until the last two rounds!
