Adam Thielen and Adam Jones got into a little shoving match during Vikings-Bengals joint practice.

It was the Battle of the Adams in Cincinnati. If you can really call this a battle.

More of a skirmish really. Minor engagement. Not too much in the way of fireworks. Just a couple guys practicing hard!

According to reports from the scene, Adam Thielen and Adam Jones got into a shoving match after Thielen’s helmet popped off during a drill.

Ever the scrapper, Thielen wasn’t taking any guff off of Pacman Jones.

Video shows…something that looks like something maybe somewhat exciting.

If you were going to lay money on which Bengals players might get into some shoving during practice, Adam Jones might have been your odds-on favorite. Or possibly Vontaze Burfict. Either one of those guys, you would have been safe betting on.

Adam Thielen I’m not sure would have been your best bet on the Vikings. The way things have been going so far this preseason, you might have placed a wager on Laquon Treadwell getting involved in some extra stuff.

Treadwell seems like a guy with a big chip on his shoulder who doesn’t take anything either, as evidenced by his fight with Jabari Price earlier this preseason.

Ultimately nothing much came of Thielen and Jones’ scrapping out there. It was just one of those things that happens when football players get to banging each other around on the practice field.

Lots of testosterone flowing out there, hard to keep guys altogether reined in.

With any luck both teams will get out of this week with no real violence and, more importantly, nobody getting hurt.
