Minnesota Vikings: C.J. Ham 10 yard touchdown run
By Adam Carlson
Minnesota Vikings running back C.J. Ham ran in a 10 yard touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals during the week 1 preseason contest.
The preseason is a great time for fans of professional football. Guys that you’ve never heard of can emerge from nowhere and players that you rooted for in college might make some big plays. That is the case of Minnesota Vikings running back C.J. Ham.
A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Ham impressed in a big way during training camp. His hard running style, ability to make people miss, and surprising speed made him a favorite to earn a spot on the practice squad.
Thankfully, he got a moment to shine against the Cincinnati Bengals, as he ran in a 10 yard touchdown to extend the lead to 17-7 in the Vikings favor.
Here is a video of the touchdown as shared by the official Minnesota Vikings Twitter account:
The Minnesota Vikings continued to use C.J. Ham throughout the rest of the game. He was very impressive and should see more time as it should already be inked in that Adrian Peterson, Jerick McKinnon, and Matt Asiata will be the running backs that make the team’s 53 man roster.
But there is no reason to think that Ham can’t continue to work his way up the Vikings depth chart. He has all the tools necessary to succeed in the NFL and should only keep getting better.
