#1: Will the starters play?

So far, fans haven’t gotten a great look at many of the most popular players on the roster. For casual fans, everybody wants to see the big stars of the Minnesota Vikings play some football, even if it is just for a half, or even a quarter.

We already know that Adrian Peterson has “shut himself down” for the preseason, but there could be hope that other notable players could be active for the first Minnesota Vikings game ever at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The biggest question mark surrounds Teddy Bridgewater. His sore shoulder has kept him out of action since an encouraging performance in week 1 of the preseason, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see Mike Zimmer hold the quarterback out for this game to give him more rest for the upcoming regular season schedule.

The hardest thing as a fan is how much we love watching our favorite players play. But it also has to be understood that if playing them now could compromise their regular-season performance in any way, they need to sit out. And who knows what is going on with Matt Kalil?
